The 12th Air Transportation Main Base Command is located adjacent to ERKİLET Airport. The C-130, C-160, CN-235 and A-400M military transport aircraft affiliated to this unit use the square extensively. Apart from this, there is a heavy civil cargo traffic in the Airport.
